Winner - Better Together Award for XDI Sydney. The Better Together Award is a project on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and facilitated by Impact Hub Berlin. XDI won the award in a field of over 80 applicants from all continents.
Second Place, CoastAdapt Case Study for the Torres Strait Regional Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Plan (2016) awarded to John Rainbird. It has been a great pleasure working with CSIRO and the TSRA on the development of this plan.
We would also like to acknowledge Vic McGrath from the Torres Strait who won the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility Champion Award (2016) for his continued efforts to raise the profile of climate change impacts in his community and throughout Australia.
